League Two side Macclesfield can welcome back striker Francis Green for Saturday's FA Cup third-round tie withat Moss Rose.Green was shown a red card following a scuffle with defender Alan Goodall in their 4-2 victory on December 12 and returns after serving a three-match suspension.
Along with deciding whether to involve the striker, boss Keith Alexander is contemplating which formation to use against the Premier League side after successfully using a five-man defence in their 3-1 victory over Chester.
The change was prompted by the Silkmen conceding four goals in each of their previous two games, but Alexander is wary that his side have produced some of their better football in a 4-4-2 formation.
James Jennings will be hoping to retain his place after helping to shore up Alexander's back-line and provided an assist against Chester, while fellow defender Richard Walker also impressed after being handed a starting berth on Sunday.
