Brazil are preparing for a rematch against United States at the Confederations Cup final in Johannesburg on Sunday.

The South Americans were in complete command during their Group B encounter nine days ago, easing to a 3-0 victory in Bloemfontein, thanks to goals from Felipe Melo, Robinho and Maicon.

With the two-week tournament set for its climax at the Ellis Park Stadium, it is the North Americans that now seem to have all the momentum heading into the final.

After sneaking into the knockout stage with a 3-0 win over Egypt in the last group game, they then turned in a gladiatorial effort to dump the world number one side Spain out of the competition with a 2-0 triumph to seal their date with Brazil, who looked out of sorts as they eventually overcame hosts South Africa 1-0 in their semi-final.

And the turn of fortune by Bob Bradley's men has been closely watched by his opposite number as they now ready themselves for a second meeting.

"The game against the US in the group stages was different," he said. "Now they are more consistent and tomorrow will be different.

Joel Santana is focused on guiding South Africa to the Confederations Cup final despite the hype about his battle with his countrymen.

The Bafana Bafana boss is highly regarded in his homeland and is one of only a handful of coaches to have won the league title with the four clubs - Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Vasco da Gama.

However, he has played down the fuss, calling for full support for the host nation ahead of the clash with the defending champions in Johannesburg in tomorrow's second semi-final.

"I am 100% focused on Bafana Bafana," he said. "My work is in Africa. I respect the opponents, but I don't really care about them because I am now with Bafana Bafana.

Spain vs. USA Preview

Spain will attempt to claim their place in the Confederations Cup final when the take on the United States in Bloemfontein.

The European champions have already broken one world record during their stint in South Africa, with Saturday`s 2-0 victory over the host nation not only seeing Spain progress through Group A with a 100% record but also extending their run of successive wins to 15.

That saw them move one clear of Brazil, France and Australia, who all jointly held the former record along with the Spanish.

Saturday`s win also extended Spain`s unbeaten run to 35 matches, drawing them level with Brazil's world-leading mark that was set between between 1993 and 1996, and Vicente del Bosque`s side can take that record for their own tomorrow as well.

Spain are huge favourites to continue their remarkable form against a United States side that created a big stir in battling back from the brink to qualify from Group B, but midfielder Xabi Alonso is not taking anything for granted.

"If they are here it`s because they have deserved it," said Alonso, who was part of the Spain side that ground out a hard-fought 1-0 win over the US in a friendly last year, Xavi scoring the only goal 12 minutes from time.
